Got this Lou Brissie on Ebay last week. Gorgeous glove. I must admit I'd never heard of Brissie until this glove went up. A local antique store was selling it so I was able to go see it before I bid. Mint and huge. If you don't know the story of Lou Brissie look it up, it's a good read. Leg bone shattered into 30 pieces in WW2 and rebuilt with 23 surgeries. Made it to majors and pitched with a steel brace on his leg. A book on his life has just been written and I believe he is still alive and about 86 yrs old. Added a pic of the glove next to a mint Goldsmith Elmer Riddle to show how big it is.

The book is The Corporal Was A Pitcher by Ira Berkow with forward by Tom Brokaw. I saw it last week at Sam's Club.

Great glove! I thought Lou Brissie was swiming with the sharks, though (Godfather movie reference).
