This was found at a play it again type store, and they had 3 other gloves that I could swing buy and get tomorrow if they were worth grabbing, for trades etc:

- RH (I believe it was a RH) Mike Epstein, Spalding (made in Japan)
-RH Glen Beckert, Wilson A2640 (Japan)
-Vida Blue, All Star '71 youth glove but very clean

All three had sharp signatures and quite clean.

Should I grab these? Thanks...chris

Nice find! I never find anything good in the used sporting goods stores (PIAS) around here.

The MM6 is listed in the 1959 and 1960 Rawlings catalogs. It was a mid-priced glove, selling for just a notch below half what the top-line gloves were selling for at the time.

Book value is in the $100-$150 range, based on a conditional grade somewhere between "Excellent" and "Near Mint". Actual retail price you might expect through private sale or auction is anybody's guess!

Thanks Bret

Do you think I should grab any of the other 3 mentioned? I don't collect those players specifically, but would get them for trade/sale purposes if they were of interest/uncommon. Thanks again! chris

There likely isn't much collector demand for any of the other three- certainly not like with a Mantle. For a resale value, you would probably be doing real good to get around $25 each for the other three gloves, if you happened to find just the right buyer.

Now, if you're like me and they're clean gloves that catch my eye and they're cheap...I might buy them just for the sake of having more gloves! But I wouldn't buy them with the expectation of turning a big profit or pulling off a huge trade.

Thanks again..
