First time poster--could someone tell me the difference between a TG36 and TG 82--I have always been fond of the trap-eze gloves, but really don't know much about them--Thanks Much for any help

Nice glove! I have a TG36 Kubek, but it is in rough shape- not nearly as nice as yours.

The TG82 was just another Trap-Eze model that Rawlings offered. It was a smaller glove, with a kind of "dumbed down" version of the Trap-Eze web- not quite as intricate in the pattern of lacing and it sold for about 1/2 the price of the TG36. I believe it was only offered in 1961 and bore the endorsement of Smokey Joe Cunningham.

The TG36 was sold for three years- 1960 through 1962. The first two years it carried the endorsement of Hank Bauer. The Kubeck model was only sold in 1962.

Thanks for the info--if you were looking to add a trap-eze model or two to your collection, what models would you look for?

The "holy grail" of Trap-Eze gloves might be the original TG12. Introduced in 1960, it bore the signature of Stan Musial and was the most expensive glove in the Rawlings lineup (along with the TG15 Ken Boyer model and the conventional web XPG3 Herb Score model).

But any Trap-Eze model glove is cool!

Bret - I hope to post some photos of my own gloves, including my original TG-12 from 1960, this weekend. It does need a little cosmetic work, so maybe you can then comment if your shop is able to touch it up. I have the 1960 Rawlings catalog as well, retailed for $39.99.
