I see everyone here is so obsessed with gloves (and I'd say I'm not the last in that field), so here is a question or two for you all:

1. What could stop you from thinking about baseball gloves all the time ?
2. If there was any glove that could satisfy you for good and put your mind to rest what would it be ?

(The truth is I don't know what I can come up with to calm down my wife and prevent her from cutting the internet connection or hiding my credit card...)

"Listen, I'll stop when..." WHEN ??

I don't know what my answer to number one would be, but number two is a snap!

A mint Rawlings HH "Kitten" personal Model. By the way, if anyone might happen to have one, I would be interested.....(sorry had to add that in)

Well... death ? Isn't it a little too radical ? I can't say that to my wife if I don't want to wake up dead tomorrow !! But thank God, her English is awful

Good Question,
I've never really had the feeling of being done collecting gloves, but I did have that feeling with cards. A few years ago I managed to pick up a really nice Topps "57 Mantle card, a real beauty, just like the one my Mom tossed out (sure she was doing me a tremendous favor) back in the mid 60's. Once I landed that card, I just felt so at ease with card collecting. I really didn't need any others beyond what I had squirreled away post the big throw out. Gloves on the other hand seem to be an ongoing source of discovery. I know I'm not done. Problem is, many of the ones I want to acquire are very expensive. When I started, the routine was delivery after delivery. Maybe 10 or 12 gloves (or more) a month. Now if I can pick up one nice every couple of months, I feel like things are about right. :D

Great question to ponder. I think a duck web fielder's glove and a Spalding figural trophy would keep my mind at ease for a year. But, after a while I'd get the itch again. Take care!
