I only recently discovered this forum (which is great!), and was inspired to become a collector myself. So this weekend i went to my local flea market and in the first 5 minutes found a Wilson a2000 that was made in japan for only 3 dollars. So..

1) how did i do cleaning and relacing the glove? (the first photo is a before/after)
2) I havent been able to find any info on this glove at all and was curious if anyone knows about how old it may be and any value it may have (just curious, i'm not planning on selling it).

Any feedback is appreciated,
Thanks!

Very good job!

Adam,

Way to go on that first glove! A very good job, at least according to my opinion! Of course, I am incredibly jealous. Local flea markets around here are heavy on the farm implements and "country kitsche" crap, and light on the sports equipment, gloves especially.

For $3, I think you turned a forgotten old piece of leather into a keeper/gamer.

Now, some other guys on the forum will have to tell you more about the model number and the history of the glove. Wilson A2000 models are usually highly sought after, and have a good reputation with players.

Good job! :)

Thanks!!, i just used what i've learned from reading posts here, just permatex some lanolin and some new lacing. As for the flea market, I know the feeling! Just add nascar shirts (the flea market is less than a mile from the bristol race track) and we've got the same things! This was the only glove in the entire joint.
