Found this little guy and thought he needed a good home. The photo doesn't show well but there is a very ornate script signature of Al Kammer running parallel to the thumb. What looks like Midwest Sporting Goods and Milwaukee, Wisc. is printed in the pocket along with F 17. Everything is printed, not stamped. It's a self described Junior Model. The laces are plastic coated. I searched for Kammer and only found a reference to a baseball player at Princenton University in the early 1930's. I like the kids gloves as a reminder of buying the first one for my son.

I've had a few of those Midco gloves and they always have very obscure players that never played in the Majors. Can't help you with Al Kammer but the company did put out a lot of these youth gloves with unknown players.

Thanks, Brett. If the Kammer connection is correct, is the early 1930's a good guestimate of age? I searched the forum for Midco with no success; any tips?

I always assumed late 1930's to early 1940's on the Midco gloves. I don't know anything about the history of the company but would say 30's-40's is most likely.

And yes, GO DUKE!!!!
