Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

How many have had good or bad luck on the assortment of gloves on glove lots, especially when it was hard to identify the stampings? ?? Sort of like opening a grab bag.

several times, i have bought small lots. but each time there was one particular glove I was after that, thankfully, all you eagle-eyed collectors might have missed. Examples include a nasty $24 five-glove lot that had 4 gloves that went straight to trash. The 5th was a beautiful Lutze-style fat finger. Pulled a couple of Mantles and a Hornsby from larger lots. But then again, have bought a lot or two that were pretty much useless. But luckily, didn't pay that much.
It's a gamble. Sometimes a (literal) crap shoot. But the fun is in the hunt.
