I purchased a Rawlings pm the other day. But the name is almost impossible to see.
Who endorsed the pm models in the early 50's anyone beside Musial?

It would almost be easier to tell you who didn't endorse these gloves!

The three-fingered Playmaker(PM) series had a good decade-long run from the late 40's through the 50's. And every year, Rawlings might have a dozen different endorsers on these gloves. There are also a slew of unendorsed models to be found.

One thing I've found with these gloves is that the player endorsement was usually stamped right in the pocket where the ball would hit. I've seen a lot of them that were well-used and the endorsement is just plain gone. If the model number is just "PM", with no other numbers or letters after it, then it's probably a Musial and a top of the line model.

thanks bretman
I was hoping that after a little cleaning the name might pop up like it did on the larry gilbert. It did not. But it is a PM with no other letters. The glove was used but seems to have been taken care of for the most part.
I need to re string the fingers and will post a picture when I am done
