I recently picked up a collection of vintage football and baseball items and when I pulled out my tub of early baseball gloves, I found this one, but have not been able to find out any information on Goodyear gloves. This glove is a Billy Jurges, Model 0243. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Tim

the glove was made for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Note the winged foot logo. Goodyear became heavily diversified in the late 1920's and branched out with many non-rubber products. Your glove was probably late 1930-40's. They probably had the glove manufactured by an independent company and sold at retail stores. Goodyear still owns SRI Sports Ltd which manufactures golf and tennis gear such as Dunlop.
