I have a Wilson A2000 L that has the letters "FU" stamped on the outside of the thumb. Any ideas what it means? This is a USA made model designated by the numbers 1630.

But, I did notice that you are located in Ohio. I'm in Columbus. What part of the state are you in? I would be interested to know of any flea markets, antique shows or shops, etc. that you are familiar with around the state.

I've got an early (late 50's I believe) A2000 that I'm trying to date. The patent numbers are legible. Any help?

Wilson designated its pro stock A2s with letters or numbers on the backside thumb. This may mean the glove is a prostock maybe made for a particular player. Where is the 1600 stamping embossed?
Also pro stock designation was also placed under the wrist strap for a period of time. You might have a number there.

Deacon, can you describe your A2? Shooting star palm? This logo was replaced in the mid 60s by the Circle W stamping. There would be some web changes on the early shooting star A2s. Patent dates are usually not much help.

The palm reads Pro Model with the shooting star beneath it. It has a triple lock web, with 2 crossed (X) laces attached to the body of the glove. Major League in script on the outside of the thumb. Hold Tite Strap. Grip-Tite pocket.
Those are really the only destinctive type markings.
