rawlings tm58

hi i'm new to this forum. i found this glove at a flea market for $3. don't really know how to put pictures on here but it looks like the tm70. i think it is from the 40s but dont really know much about it. can anyone tell me anything. its a george mcquinn the claw. it has the patent # on it2.281.315. its in farely good shape.

With the aid of Joe Phillips indispensable hobby guide, the "Vintage Baseball Glove Catalog Source Book", most any old glove can be positively identified.

Rawlings introduced the "trapper" style first base mitt in the early 1940's and sold them right up through the 60's. The TM58 model was sold from 1956 to 1959. So, while this was a late-50's mitt, it probably was very close to the original 1940's design, with just a few minor tweaks being made over the years.
