Anyone seen this model before? Am I correct in assuming that this was endorsed by CLIFF Heathcote? Did they not use his first name because they didn't have permission? Can't find anything on the internet and searched the archives of this site with no luck...any info is appreciated.

Dan... that's a sweet looking glove! Never seen a "Fly Chaser" before! It was presented in Wilson's 1930 catalog, a low priced model compared with the rest of their line. Given that Wilson was in Chicago and Cliff Heathcote was an outfielder with the Cubs in 1930, odds are very good it's him. They would have used his full name with a facsimile signature if he had an actual endorsement contract, so you're likely correct in that they wanted to capitalize on his local fame without paying him. In any event, the glove's in great condition and quite unique. Nice find!

Cool glove. I used to have that same glove but nowhere near as nice as yours. I always thought it was attributable to Cliff Heathcote but loved the model name even better, Flychaser. That's a great model name. Thanks for posting.

Thay is a great glove and looks like it is in real nice condition. I have a Cliff Heathcote glove but of an unknown manufacturer. I bet your glove is a fine example of the old 1922 Cubbie.
