Question on a glove company

I am new to this forum and I recently bought an old split finger baseball glove. It has the double tube type web. I want to know what the brand of it is. It has no markings on the button on the back. On the inside of the glove where the brand usually has its stamp i can only make out the letters B-E...the rest are faded. It looks like it is in cursive though. I know that is extremely vague but if anyone can think of a brand that starts with B-E maybe that would help. thanks!

I am pretty sure that Benlee is a company that made baseball gloves and there company name was in cursive. I know they were big into boxing gloves but they usually had a really big patch on the wrist strap.

How about "Belknap"? They were a chain of hardware stores that sold gloves at least from the 30's into the 50's (from the scant catalog data available on them). The gloves they sold were made by established sporting goods companies (for instance, Hutch), then stamped with the "Belknap" logo.

By the way...good to see you on the forum, Fungo! :D

I'd say the previous two posters are correct and it is most likely one of those 2 companies. Can you post a picture? That might help solve the mystery.
