Hi JD,
I put my order in for John's book and can't wait to get it. Congratulations John on his new book, I know it took a lot of his time, effort and money to put the book out there. Looking forward to getting an up close and personal look at his collection.

This is the creme de la creme of glove books without a hesitation. It's a book I keep going through and through again. I watched some of its early shape during it's early days of pre-press and marveled at how John and his family, son Chris on the crisp glove photography that brings the leather and gloves to life (yes Ty Cobb lives again) and wife Vicky with her sharp eyes to detect flaws and timely suggestions. John has poured a portion of his life and his love into ball gloves and this is a pure reflection.
Sadly, I lament, I see a few of my old Indians in there, that somehow were finessed from my grasp. But. . . they're in a good home and now in this masterpiece of a tome. Very timely for our
marvelous hobby! John's taking some to the Baltimore National if you can make it.

Can't wait to see the book. John will be with us at the National all week - booth 2274. Make sure everyone stops by and buys a copy. I sure hope the pages are glossy because I imagine most collectors will be drooling all over it!

Ahhhh, patience Grasshopper. Jim, you are going to love this book. It is beautifully laid out and on heavy high gloss paper - like 70 pound I think. There are lots of gloves to look at. He has worked his butt off to build a collection like this and anybody who collects anything should appreciate that. John, start working on Volume II.

I can't wait to see it! It sure is a great looking cover, though I see a couple that I miss. A book like this takes a ton of work and for that I thank you John.

I've been looking thru John's book the last couple days and it is indeed fantastic! Page after page of rare and wonderful gloves (and the boxes, man oh man!), beautifully formatted. It's the ultimate wish list in book form. This has really been a good year for books related to our hobby, with Joe's fascinating Nocona history and the T206 book featuring Brett's gloves and memorabilia. The only complaint I have with that book is wishing that more of Brett's stuff was featured along with the cards. Thinking about putting a book together on my collection now. Well, actually it's more of a pamphlet called "Scraps". Thanks for the title, Ricky.

Thanks everyone for the kind words about our new book. We appreciate all of you that have purchased the book through website.
The book has been a lot of fun and work over the last 8 or 9 months. Special thanks to Joe Phillps (who wrote the forward), JD, Brett, Dave and a lot of other wonderful glovers who helped with their suggestions, encouragement and many other ways all through the process. The project was really a work of pure enjoyment for me especially with the great team up with my son Chris and wife Vicki.
Thanks again everyone!
John

Hi Guys,
Got my glove book today. John did a wonderful job with the book. It is a great addition to our glove hobby. The book reflects an amazing collection of gloves and mitts and Chris, John's son, did a terrific job with shooting the pictures. An outstanding collection in a beautiful, colorful arrangement. A definite asset to our hobby. John, great job on this book and what a cool collection! Thanks.

Guys,
I wanted to mention to that I received Joe Phillips book 75 years of Nokona Ball Gloves. Joe congrats on your book as well. Your book offers a very up close and personal look into the Nokona company and its history. As always, you certainly have a great way of writing a book for the reader. Thanks Joe for all your efforts in our glove hobby and for contributing to your efforts to writing books for our glove hobby.
