Hey guys,

Wanted to see if I could get some input on a couple of vintage gloves I picked up. I don't know much about gloves, and only picked these 2 up because they came in the same lot as a nice early football that I wanted.

The first glove has no makers mark that I can make out, but the glove is fairly worn, so it might be worn away. The only mark I can make out at all is the number 16 on the web. The buckle/button area is completely missing from this glove. Any idea on the age of the glove, and any guess as to a maker or is that impossible to ascertain with no button/mark/etc.

The second glove is a small, childs size? Wislon glove. The Wilson logo at the palm appears to be a Phoenix style bird. Any thoughts on the date of this glove. Is it recommended to clean this type of glove with a saddle soap? or is this not a good idea?

The first glove is probably from the 1920's and looks to be a mid-line glove. There are no characteristics that stick out to me to pinpoint a manufacturer. The second glove looks to be an American Eagle brand glove - I've seen these made by Wilson - it is from the 1950's.
