I picked up this Walker Cooper. I have few Rawlings WC’s, so I thought this was neat. I have tried to look up Ol' Reliable Sporting Goods, with no luck. I’m looking for a brief history of the WC mitt, and any information on this particular one. Thanks.

That glove was made by OK MFG / Sonnett - they made gloves for Ol' Reliable. I have a Sonnett model Walker Cooper that is very similar to the one you have - mine might be a couple years after yours.

thanks Brett. So, do you know an approximate age of this one?

I would say late 1940's or early 1950's - all of the Ol' Reliables I've seen made by OK have been from that era.

Interesting About Cooper

a note about Cooper. His name shows up on more than one brand. He endorsed a top line Rawlings mitt also a nice Ken Wel model, both signature models.

Oh, Clyde McCullough is another catcher on several different brands, MacGregor, Wilson, Rawlings, Higgins, Hutch.
