Signing gloves

I know it is and has been popular for players to sign baseballs but did players ever sign gloves? If so would a signed glove be worth more, less, or the same as a signed baseball? And I want to specify Im mainly talking about early players such as Ruth, Cobb, etc. signing split finger glove. Thanks.
