As many of you know, Brett and I have been uploading a bunch of catalogs to the site lately. I just wanted to say a quick thanks and to acknowledge a few guys. Mike Ellis and John Graham entrusted me with all of their catalogs to put on the site to share with you all. Doug Wolk also sent Brett his catalogs to post as well. These are all great guys who believe in sharing information. Anyway, I think it's cool of them. We would love to get more if anyone has any.

Brett, I really appreciate your help as well. I know it takes a ton of time and I appreciate it.

We have been getting copies of these to Joe. So, if we all pester him enough, maybe he'll put out another edition of The Glove Catalog Source Book, the best and most important book in the hobby. What do you say Joe?

Great idea Jim! The source book is the bible of the hobby. With all the people involved in the hobby now I would like to see a new vintage baseball glove price guide. If there is some way to involve the entire glove community in helping Joe create a comprehensive glove price guide please voice your ideas.

If anyone else wants to contribute but doesn't have access to a scanner, I don't mind inputing them. I don't have a fancy scanner like JD but my flatbed gets it done most of the time. I hope to finish the balance of the ones Doug lended me this afternoon - with a snow day in CT I have some free time depending on whether or not Beckett cooperates.

I'm just taking pictures with a digital camera on a black posterboard and then merging the multiple .jpgs into a single .PDF. When I got hold of the first batch, some were very frail and fragile. I figured this was less stressful on the old and brittle catalogs than folding them over on a flatbed scanner or using my scanner with an automatic document feeder at the office. All the ones I uploaded were just snapped with a camera and some of the pages took many takes as the pages had a tendency to want to close or turn by themselves because I didn't want to force them down due to the age and value of some of these beautiful catalogs.

If anybody has any they want to share, I'll pay for the shipping, snap the pics, upload and return. Please drop me a note if you want to send any. I'll be very careful with them.

Thanks again Brett.
