Unfortunately, this glove is not my own, but a friend's. He found it 20 or so years ago in a goodwill store in Seattle. It's in great shape (better than my photography)

My knowledge of vintage gloves is in its infancy. While the condition of this glove no doubt makes it rare, is it a difficult model to find in any condition?

Great glove! Matty gloves are definitely rare - these youth Goldsmith models are more plentiful than the full web versions but still bring in a pretty good price because of the rare endorsement.

Hi Max,

Great glove! Could you please send me a picture of the front and back. I would love to post it in the Christy Mathewson Gallery on the site. We are trying to warehouse or inventory all the glove pictures of a particular model or endorser in the same place and this would be a welcome addition.

Guys, what are the odds of two Matty's turning up in a week. How exciting?

Hi JD

I hope I have a full size photo somewhere on my hard drive. Will post it as soon as I find it.

Hi JD, Funny post as I had someone email me last week on a Mathewson Goldsmith AG8 model, left handed thrower. If you would like the pictures I can email them to you. Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks but this is a different one. I already got pictures of the one from last week. It has already been sold. This is the second one of the week. How cool is that! Max is going to try to get me pictures of this one. Thanks though.
