Once again BJ, don't get too used to that crescent. You know it's just a temporary move until it's next home. Just kidding. Enjoy it. You deserve it, but don't put it in the cabinet. I'll never be able to get it out then. :D

Lastly, I thought I knew a lot but I never knew there were so many TruSports in existence til I saw yours. Great job in obtaining those. You have done good bud.

Hi Guys,

Great topic. Man this makes for tough decisions. Let's see I love the old fielder's glove webs so here it goes.

My top 5 are:

Buckleweb, buckle back, asbestos lining. Old timer LOL Thanks JD

Heine Groh single Tunnel loops with 1" straps between each finger, Goldsmith

Rainey web, 1" web sewn strap on index finger and grommets and lace to the thumb side, Spalding

Bat glove, double tunnel loops with x lacing and multi grommet flaps between each of the fingers, not sure of brand

Stall and Dean, double tunnel webs with double vertical tunnel loops and double lace through each of the fingers (ala dazzy vance style) Lace and grommets over the piping where the hand goes in. Reinforced finger tips and thumb and endorsed by Woody English.

Love these old gloves and a month later my list might change. :D

Love those black Rawlings from the 1940's - I've seen a black Doak, the Keltner, I have a Lonny Frey (good $15 investment) and have seen a Marion - did they make them for any other players?

Whoosh!

Wow Walt had to wipe the drool from my chinney chin after seeing the Keltner black glove. Like Brett, love the black gloves, Rawlings and Goldsmiths too (have a black Bobby Doerr Mac Gold that is handsome and
great to put your hand in.)
Hard to pick five favorites: Hans Lobert, Ford Critze Dplay glove, D&M Heinie Groh, a G98 Draper Maynard (no Klein signature) double tunnel that had to be one of the last off the line at the Plymouth plant), Paul Derringer Goldmsith, Crescent pad with the hold cut out of the palm, Doerr, etc.

I know this is an old thread , but thought it would be cool to get it started again. Picking my favorite 5 was harder than I expected. Im attached to quite a few of my gloves. These would have to be my top:

Reach full web Crescent

Spalding full web. Has a lot of gold stamping left.

Image

Buckskin full web

Stall & Dean Tris Speaker.
