I haven't heard about these but just got my hands on a modern Shoelessjoe glove which was the fielders 1937 model. Made in Mexico but it felt cool putting it on. Anybody seen one or have any information.

Take a look at the "Modern vs. Vintage" thread in the index.

Nice looking gloves, and owning one would let you play some "vintage catch" without hurting one of your real vintage gloves.

Their "1937 Fielder's Glove" seems to be about two decades off- that looks more like a mid-to-late 50's model with the laced fingers and one-piece web. Their 1925 model looks to be the same glove, just minus the finger lace.

Shoeless replicas

We made several replicas of the Nocona G50 Jackson a few years ago and these sold well. Then, later, the Sports Doctor made some 19 teens versions for us that also sold well. We discontinued both after a few years. I don't know if the Shoeless Joe web site still handles those or not.

I did not mean to imply that you had posted in the wrong place, Catch. Goodness knows I have posted in the wrong place more than once

I wanted to redirect you to the thread Modern vs. Vintage in which we had just discussed the relative merits of Shoeless Joe "vintage" gloves.
Anyway, happy reading! 8)
