When will they put a stop to this guy Mr. Lin Griffin. Waggy recouped somewhat on the Mickey Mantle Jr. glove. This is just crazy how this stuff seems to fall into his lap. The number 7 is not even they way it would have been written. I got an email from another Ebayer who is having this guy looked into. This is almost as bad as the Childhood Jerry Falwell glove he sold awhile back after the preacher passed on. One note though he has been more carefull in choosing his words in his listings. Also how come everything i post is negitive? Ebay glove selling has been slower than ever, Hmmmm maybe thats why. Ebay # http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %26fvi%3D1

Mr. Griffin is a registered member of this forum and he's been invited to discuss his items here, especially when the Mantle glove was posted.

If you're reading this forum and I might guess that you are.
I think the way this individual will be stopped, is if he pushes a little too
hard with his statements as he has in the past and someone brings up MAIL FRAUD! Could happen Lin.

Wow, there seems to be a lot of shady characters when it comes to vintage gloves. Well, I guess it's no different than any other collecting. It is funny to see how people talk items up without offering any proof.

On another board I frequent, one seller was trying to talk up an item as the 2nd one off the assembly line. How did he know? Well, the box had a big #2 written with a black sharpie pen on it.

Actually, I think you'll find that most people are on the level in the vintage glove collecting community. As you said, with any type of collecting there are going to be people of questionable character, but from my experience of having been around glove collecting for almost 20 years now, I would say most people are great to deal with and really want to help out.
