Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Question from another newbie here...
Do vintage glove collectors frown upon current MLB players signing vintage gloves? I would think that an old 50s Hutch with a Ritchie Ashburn endorsement would be pretty cool with say, a genuine Chase Utley signature. Is this an accepted or desireable practice? Just curious. Thanks.
