Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Im trying to figure out the year on a Rawlings USA HOH PRO 1000-B I recently picked up. Can anyone tell me how to read the date code or let me know the year on REK09? Thanks

R is an 8 so probably 1988 ek is 04 which means april and 09 is HOH leather from a now gone tannerynnamed Gittman ( was a good Leather)

Thanks for the info Doc. Its a sweet glove that looks like its been sitting for 20 years. Very nice leather with brown metal grommets instead of the black. Seemed a bit different than the Horween leather Im used to in my other gloves so I was wondering about that. Thanks again for letting me know!
