Hi, New Guy Here
Posted: January 19th, 2008, 2:51 pmHello, I recently found this site and I think it is a great asset to the hobby. Just a short introduction. My father was a great baseball fan and played school ball then the war came. He joined the Navy and became a pilot. During the war (WWII) he became very good friends with several major league players who had also joined the war effort. When the war was over they invited him to travel with the team, something my dad would always cherish. The team was the Chicago Cubs. Well reality set in and he came back home and had to go to work. He settled down here in New Jersey and had a family. To make this long story short he kept his friendships through the years and I had a chance to meet some great people. I became a baseball fan also but my business interest is Antiques. I have a small collection but I am not a major collector. I learned a long time ago that you can't keep it all if you are to stay in business. So I may offer some items for sale to members or refer you to items I have seen for sale. I am certainly not an expert but I run across some nice things occasionally.
