a superstar like tony gwynn would use a (USA?) model HOH glove in the 1996-97 era.

Some caveats on this. Why is that "blue" "black"? No USA, from the agent (beware) used? Of the shots I have of Tony in early 90s, his glove is regular brown color. How long Rawlings been doing embroidery? Will have to check that out. Anyone got a photo match.
