Hi all,
I thought that you folks might find this interesting. Occasionally we see an A2000 on eBay which raises our hackles. These suspicious gloves almost always say Korea in the W logo on the thumb.
I emailed Wilson this question:
"Was the Wilson A2000 baseball glove ever made in Korea? Occasionally on eBay, fishy-looking A2000 gloves are put up for bid. The fishy-looking ones usually say "Wilson Korea" in the circular Wilson logo on the back of the glove by the thumb. They sometimes have Rawlings-looking features. Can you provide any insight? Thank you."
Here is the response I received:
"All Wilson gloves that say made in Korea are counterfeits. You may also notice that some words are misspelled."
OK, so that answers that.
