THREE-FINGER EDDIE JOOST?

Postby daniles » July 20th, 2009, 2:00 pm

I have a glove I found a few years back that I figured I'd sell. The only problem is that I don't know anything about it. It has EDDIE JOOST on it and I believe its referred to as a three-finger glove. I know nothing else, so if anyone is interested, PLEASE HELP! Thanks everyone!
Not sure how to get pics on here, any help would be appreciated. Or I can email pics if anyone would like.

Putting up pictures could not be simpler. See the first post, the sticky post, under Vintage Glove Pictures. Good luck!

Joost Models

Postby softball66 » July 21st, 2009, 11:37 am

The glove finder book shows Joost with a MacGregor G127 which could have been a 3 finger and also on an ARCO private brand., maybe made by MacGregor. Also, after thinking about it, I checked Draper Maynard which was being made by MacGregor in the late 1940s, early 50s, and there an Eddie Joost DG913 showing for 1951, not sure if it's a 3 finger.

I remember finding a Joost a loooooooong while back and it was a MacGregor - pretty sure it was a 3 finger glove - probably mid to low line.

That one looks to be made by Sonnett/OK MFG - the leather and block stampings are giveaways. Looks to be an early 1950's model, maybe really late 40's.

If anyone is interested I wouldn't be asking much for it, going to be moving soon and need to get rid of it!

If anyone wants it, I'll give up the Eddie Joost glove for $20 and I'll take care of shipping, need to get rid of a bunch of stuff or I would hold on to it.
