Wanted Wilson A2007 Catfish Hunter - Left Handed Thrower

First post on this forum as I stumbled upon some photos of the glove I'm searching for...

I know this is somewhat of a longshot but figured that I might a well give it a shot. I own a Wilson A2007 glove that I've been using for the last 35 years (from little league to this day when I throw with my twin boys). The glove has seen better days and needs a lot of work to repair it (if even possible) or dare I say to be replaced. On a lark I recently did a Google search and saw that I just missed a recent auction of a brand new A2007 and even reached out to the auction winner to see if there was a chance he'd sell it to me.

Wanted to know if anyone has this glove (new would be best) in their collection (left handed thrower) that they'd be willing to sell. As you can imagine, there's some sentimental value for the fact that I'll be able to continue throwing and catching with the same glove my dad threw with me.

If you've got something, please pm me w/some photos and pricing and hopefully we can come to a deal.

Thanks

C'mon everyone...19 views and not a comment. There's got to be one of these gloves floating around.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You may have better luck at the modern glove forum, http://glove-works.getwebs.org/board/, since most of the posters here collect pre 1970 gloves. I don't think A2007's are too common but their right handed brethren, the A2005, show up quite often. Good luck in your search.

You've got a tough row to hoe here as glove companies only made one in 7 to one in 9 left handed to right handed gloves and the A2007 Hunter personal model is one of the rarer models because it was more expensive, hence fewer made. You've also got to worry about finding one in good condition.

I know this is going to be tough. I'd been toying with getting a new A2000 model, but figured I might as well give it a shot. Believe it or not, a brand new, unused one recently sold on ebay (I missed it by a few months) and I've been trying to get the buyer to consider selling it to me, but thus far no luck.

I actually remember the day my dad bought it for me and it was expensive in the early 70's and surely it's lasted well beyond it's expected life, but the thought of breaking in a new one with my kids throwing to me is awesome.

All...just want to let you know that I guess nothing is impossible. Last week I found a BRAND NEW Wilson A2007 LHT in Mint condition. Paid quite a bit more than the $28 (wholesale) my dad paid 35 years ago, but worth it. When I opened the package, I was taken back in time. As I mentioned in my initial post, I have the same glove (used over the last 35 years) that is longing to be replaced and as much as it may pain some out here that I'm going to actually use the glove, I'm getting ready to break it in.
