This link is to an incredible article in the Seattle Times about Ichiro and Mizuno Craftsman Nobuyoshi Tsubota. It is inspirational, insightful and even a bit intimidating. I believe all of us here in the forum will find this compelling.

Wow Ichiro is worse than any wife I've ever heard of. I wonder what happened to all those gloves he rejected.

great article about tsubota. i have to admit that i'm a little put off by ichiro's response to the handcrafted gloves that were presented to him. i'm sure i'll never be in the position that he's in to demand certain features in a custom glove but i would like to believe that my attitude would be more of gratefulness or at least graciousness.

Thanks for sharing the article. Tsubota is a true craftsman. Ichiro on the other hand is a prima donna. There are a lot of great fielders that came before him that have done more with less.
