Can someone please provide some history and thought/rationale behind the Rawlings HOH gloves which featured the flag patch and Made in USA ? I suspect they were for about a year, say 1998 ? Was this Rawlings trying to build a great glove while actually bringing attention to the fact that they were Made in USA, while knowing that USA made gloves were nearing the end of their life ? Doc, this question is really for you, but anyone else who feels they know some of the facts should feel free to respond. Thanks. Steve

Me, too.

the gloves were sold through eastbay and that gave them a way to seperate them selfs from import retail HOH's eastbay has always supported made in USA. The flag label stayed with eastbay until this year but the last 8 years were assembled in USA the Philippines cut and stamped their leather and I put them together, but now they are all USA again. Thanks guys and eastbay......

What can you tell us about the gloves with red Rawlings patch over a gold patch?
