Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Sorry, I accidentally posted this in the sale section....


I am somewhat of a germaphobe so I have never cared much for other peoples used gloves......I never let anyone use my gloves etc....I always kind of thought it was like wearing someones shoes or hat......Nothing wrong with it just not my thing....I know the majority of the people here collect older glvoes and they are usually used. Do you do anything special to clean /sanitize them when you get them?

Just my usual clean and oil procedure. I have to change my routine if the glove is nasty inside (I clean it first so I can put my hand in it to clean the outside...although I will use surgical gloves from time to time but I miss the feeling of working the leather) or if its got mildew on it.
