Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

So I was checking out Pro Preferred gloves and noticed that there's a patent number along the index finger pad. Says "U.S. Pat No. 449,714". So i decided to look that number up and it came up with a patent from 1891 for a "Hame Tug Clip" Whaaa? Did they put the wrong patent on the glove?
