My Rawlings Pro Preferred 2009 model # PROS27T2T ID #20 has the Made in Philipines circle stamping next to the I.D. # on pinky....Was this done in error or are all the 2009 high end Rawlings gloves going back to stamping Made in Phillipines on them? I know Rawlings has the Phillipines stamping on the lesser gloves but in the past several years on the high end stuff it just had the paper tagging that could be removed. Just curious...Matt

Putting on my corporate America hat I wear M-F, this probably an attempt to distinguish where the product was made. It sounds pretty obvious in and of itself. However, it's the perception that you're not buying a product from (one of a NUMBER of) foreign countries that may have issues with the products they produce and sold in the U.S.A.
My 2009 is an error

Just got back from the baseball store....None of the 2009 Pro Preferred gloves have the Circle Philipines stamp on the pinky...Rawlings only does the stamping on the lower end models up to the Gold Glove Series....My glove must have been an error...otherwise a beautiful glove. -matt

Im pretty sure its not an error. My Pro Shop Joba Chamberlain PROS12DHKBM has it there. However my customs with May 08 date codes dont. Maybe they were manufactured in different places?
