As requested by one of our forum members, here are some pics of my Wilson A2124 George Brett Fielder's glove from the early 1980's. I got this glove at a Wal-Mart. Fairly inexpensive, but it seemed to be of good quality. The leather was thick and firm, the pocket was nice, and most importantly, it was large enough for my hand. I remember that it was stiff, and took a while to break in. As you can see, it has been customized. A friend of mine makes custom ball gloves, and does cusom repairs. After I had played church-league softball for several years with the glove, I asked him to relace the glove in black laces on a whim, and boy, do I like the result! Also, I asked him to put some more support in the pocket and the fingers, so he did. You can see the second row of laces going through the fingers from the index finger to outside the pinky, where it is tied off. Probably my all-time favorite multi-purpose softball-baseball glove! :)

There was a George Brett MVP model that is interesting to me. I have seen a couple of them on e-bay, and I had a kids' version for a while. But that was one of the ones I sent to Moonlight. If I remember correctly, it had an H-web, or some sort of I web ... I need to look up that glove again ...

It seems like this A2124 was one of Wilson's most popular, best-selling gloves of the time. I see them on e-bay fairly regularly.
