Need Help - Wilson Pro Staff Model

Postby burker72 » November 11th, 2007, 8:54 am

I need some help. I just acquired a Wilson Pro Staff A2204 model. It looks and feels like a pretty nice glove. Can anyone offer any info on the significance, if any, of the "Pro Staff" designation - marketing ploy or significant difference to run of the mill models?

I have a PRO STAFF A2205 (Japan). Its a RHT and I bought it for my son in the 90's when he was in high school. I have no recall about where I purchased it. I think that it was priced lower than the top Wilson gloves. It certainly seems like a high quality glove. Certainly the leather rivals my A-2800 (Japan) from the same era.

Can't help you with the "whys" of the Pro Staff stamping, but I have a USA made A3000 with "Pro Staff" stamped on the inside pinkie. It's a single post bar web, d ring wrist.
Might be able to email that Wilson address that showed up on this forum with the question.
