a 1930's glove sold for $88. listed only as a Spalding, It's actually a model MO Babe Ruth "Home Run Special" model. The markings are not too hard to see. It's well used with holes on the face. On the plus side, it was one of Spalding's better gloves at the time.

A 1960's MacGregor Willie Mays model B145 glove sold for $332. An interesting glove with an odd model number. The "hand lasted" stamp is usually found on the later 60's gloves with the Brunswick label. This glove however has the older style rectangular MacGregor label. The U shaped heel is also interesting on a mid line autograph model. The glove is near mint.

A couple I missed from recent auctions other than ebay.
A Spalding Babe Ruth "Home Run Special" glove with picture box and pamphlet sold for $31,700. A case where the box is worth multiples of the glove, lol.

Listed only as a "Vintage Baseball Glove", it's lightly stamped Johnny Evers in block letters on the front with a nice Johnny Evers Co. Sporting Goods tag on the wrist strap. Evers started a sporting goods business in 1923 in Albany, NY. The glove is in nice shape and rare. It sold for $444.

A 1925 Wilson model 554 base mitt sold for $136. This is a nice one. The factory markings on the face and cloth patch are all intact. It's the "Invisible Fingers" model. An open ended glove was built into the mitt to provide additional padding and protection for the fingers. Kind of like the fielders mitts in the early part of the century.

the purported game used Babe Ruth Spalding glove at Heritage Auctions was pulled 11 hours before the closing time. It was at $400,000 about a week ago. The provenance was most likely the issue.
