New to the group so apologies for my ignorance in almost all areas of vintage baseball gloves.

I stumbled across a Diamond Brand smaller catchers mitt (I think it is a catchers mitt) that I traced back to the Shapleigh hardware store that carried athletic equipment. Is there a resource out there that gives some of the history on items like this? Not too concerned about the value. Just really cool to have. Thoughts are welcome.

Welcome. Here is a forum link to some Shapleigh history.

There are photos in the "Glove Gallery" and catalog illustrations in the "Glove Library" of Diamond Brand gloves and mitts made for Norvell-Shapleigh through the years.

Thank you very much. I had stumbled across this prior and was wondering simply what kind of information was out there. How common do people come across the gloves themselves.

those types of things.
