Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

I've come across this old first baseman's mitt. Guessing it's 1940s, maybe '30s? But the stamping is way too faint to make out. (Looks like "Horsehide" written across the top?) Any thoughts on what I might have here, or where I might find more info to help with an ID? Thanks y'all.

You're right about it being from 1930-40s, but with the manufacture stamping gone it's going to be really tough to pin down.
