Mickey Mantle first glove??

First off, Merry Christmas everyone!!

I have a friend who is head over heels into collecting mantle gloves, he splurged and got an XPG-H rolled webber!!! so he is serious. I told him that the first MM Personal came out in 1954, And that he used Rawlings pretty much all through his career. What do you all think he used before the MM mantle was made? During the 1951-53 seasons I am guessing the BD Dillinger, or maybe the MC Mort cooper, any insight on this please?
