Hi...nice glove...sorry to hear about your father going through dementia, but I think it’s a very cool thing to find his glove and try to figure out what it is. I’m by no means a glove encyclopedia like some of the collectors on this site that may be able to chime in with the exact maker, model and year(s) it was produced...hopefully one of those guys will see this and chime in. What I can say is that I think your basically on the right track...it’s a trapeze style glove form the 50-60’s would be my best guess. I know that Rawlings made this style for awhile...and I assume other manufactures had this style also, like Wilson, Spalding, etc...
Again, it’s a neat glove, and quite a keepsake for you...priceless!! I love the two-tone leather on the back of the glove...the brown and black leather on alternating fingers is somewhat more rare to see and makes it stand out a bit more to me. Cool find while cleaning around the house!! Good luck with more info. Some of these guys may be able to show you a catalog page for that glove with its original description and price;). Between Mike, William, JD, and Brett some more detailed info should hopefully pop up for you. Take care!!
