Here is an interesting 1925 Wright & Ditson catalog. This catalog may have been printed concurrently with the Victor, Wright & Ditson catalog because of the popularity of the Wright & Ditson tennis equipment. The catalog does contain VWD baseball gear and there are a couple of interesting illustrations.

Model FLW "The Conqueror" with the "L" laced heel was replaced in 1926 with the model FTF "The Conqueror" three finger model. Model FLW below

The 1925 "Non Skid" catchers mitt is also nice to see as an illustration. Looks to have cutouts in the face of the mitt with leather backing stitched in place. Reminds me of the Spalding/Reach perforated palm design. The mitt illustrated would be a nice find for a collector.

Dave Cunningham has this interesting 1950's 2 finger RWD glove. The logo in the pocket is strong. The endorsement by "Lefty Johns" is a little bit of a mystery. Gus "Lefty" Johns played MLB ball in the late 1920's but knocked around in the industrial and Texas leagues till much later. This glove looks like the same time period as the "Jack Hallet" glove from above. Hallet also played quite a while in the minor leagues after 7 years in MLB.

Strange Brew on Lefty Johns, who won 20 games a couple of times for the great Fort Worth Panthers. Johns was on the 1927 Fort Worth staff with another couple of odd names: Carl Hubbell and Dickie Kerr. What an "odd ball" glove web. first-time found name and a two-fingered laced job.
