A user on my website Bought a glove, and was told it is a "game used" Yogi Berra glove. The person he bought the glove from told him that he is a relative of Cecil Allen who worked as a scout for the Yankees in 1966, and that is how he got the glove. Any thoughts on this glove or information would be appreciated.

I'd have a hard time believing Berra would use a glove that doesn't look well made and has inferior leather.

....and was made long after Berra retired. Clearly an inexpensive store model. That vinyl piping makes me cringe :?

he may have shown up to the family picnic and forgot his mitt, so his nephew may have tossed him his vinyl piped store model (that yogi gave him for his 12th b-day) and used it a few innings before the burgers were done.....

Gamer? Not even remotely possible. A late 70's made in China/Phillipines mid-line mitt with vinyl binding. Must have been a different Yogi Berra. Hope he didn't pay much for this.
