anyone ever see an XPG3 Warren Spahn with this unusual web? I'm trying to restore the original lacing pattern and would appreciate if anyone could send me a few pix of the glove so that I could copy it.

haha, and maybe I need a tutorial on posting the picture too!!

Ed,

I'd be happy to assist. Any chance you could send larger images?

Mike

This may have been one of the early bellows webs (or the beginning of the bellows) for Rawlings. Denny Esken thought this was one of the best webs made and I agree with him. It provided a very relaxed cushion for the ball. Denny asked Rawlings why they dropped the idea and was told it was too expensive to produce, as I recall. Wilson followed with something similar using lacing.

hey thanks joe, very cool to know that it could possibly be a stock web and not a replacement or custom job.

do you think bob clevenhagen could help me out with pix or diagrams showing the original lacing pattern?
