Rawlings MM2 Dates

I picked up a almost Mint Mickey Mantle MM2 autograph model with the picture of him in the pocket, and was wondering what the date of production would be. From what I see the MM2 was only sold in 1961? Thanks in advance for any info.

Here are some pics......No ink dead mint patch, not even broken in. The only use might have been to play catch as the tips of the fingers are not even scuffed.

I see 1961 as being the only year of manufacture for the MM2, retailing for $19.95.
