Orioles Hal Smith with what appears to be a Wilson 2406 Professional model catchers mitt. The 2406 was Wilsons TOTL mitt in 1955 and was produced from 55-57.
Here's an odd one. Ray Milland in 1949 from the movie "It Happens Every Spring" with what looks like an OK Mfg. glove. The one from JD's site is a tough Dizzy Dean model. I loved this movie when I was a kid in the 1960's. The premise is that he's a chemistry professor who invents a liquid that makes objects avoid wood. So if you rub it on a baseball it can't be hit by a wooden bat. Happy Chandler was less than thrilled with the movie and wouldn't allow any player cameos or specific team names, but you knew the team he pitched for had to be the Browns. No other team was that desperate.
Mike, I've seen that photo and was also unable to determine what model it might be. Here is a picture of Mickey Lolich with a Spalding model that appears to have the same web as well as the same wrist strap configuration. I tried tracking down an example of a glove on JDs website that shares the same style web to no avail. Could not find one in any catalogs as well.
A's star pitcher Vida Blue with his 2nd generation Macgregor KC1 RH (right hand). While the KC1 made it's debut in the 1968 Macgregor catalogs, this model first appeared in the 1970 catalog as evidenced by the lack of lacing between the web bars. The top catalog listing is from 1968, bottom is from the 1970 catalog.
Ewell Blackwell circa 1948-50. He's sporting a MacGregor Goldsmith model EB glove. The MacG logo is an early one. I couldn't find an example in a catalog or on JD's site.
