Hi wjr,

Good to see you posting on the board!

Since you're here, I just wanted to let you know that I got the two emails you sent me, but have been tied up in recent weeks and am way behind on my correspondence.

I'll try to send you an email this weekend and let you know what's going on. The short version (and I'm sure you're heard this one before, since you work in a field involved with manufacturing) is that the company I work for announced that our plant will be closing in a couple of months.

With our two biggest customers being Ford and Chrysler, it was inevitable that something was going to give. Unfortunately, what "gave" was the closing of one of our four manufacturing plants.

Around the first of May, it looks like I'll have plenty of free time to answer email and work on my glove collection!

Your story about the Christmas present is a good one. This past Christmas, my wife totally surprised me with one of the black Nokona "Joe Jackson" replica gloves. It's a cool glove and all, but for what she spent I could have had a nice new Nokona glove to actually use on my softball team!

oops....didn't mean to step on any toes

i'm really not an expert on nokona's and the few that i've picked up (2 AMG500K's, 2 600K's, amg100, a nwot F100 Minnie Minoso, and an F150) were very exotic and equisite hand crafting.

no doubt the people at Nokona are very knowledgeable and put out a great product.
