Just got a call from an auction house about a "possible" Ruth game glove from 1935. But appears all wrong as it's a right hand thrower (fits on left hand). It supposedly came from Tommy Thompson the man who played alongside and replaced Ruth in Ruth's last year in right field for the Braves. The glove in question, however, is a top of the line Draper Maynard G98 model Wapiti Elk. I will take a look at the images. The G98 in 1935-37 was a Joe Cronin endorsed glove.
I have a D&M G98 that does not look like the G98 in the D&M catalog with lace back instead of buckle back and two tunnel loops instead of the lace arrangement shown on the 98 in the catalog. Big glove for the time though.
