Good glove photos are tough to find

After 8 years in the minors, the Boston Braves brought up pitcher Lou Fette in 1937. The 30 year old rookie went 20-10 but was out of MLB after 1940. His glove was another cool D&M buckle back, the Bill Urbanski G90 with extra eyelets on the thumb to adjust the laces. The example is from JD's website.
I've seen a couple other photos of Dizzy Dean with a base mitt. Just Dizzy being Dizzy I guess.

Babe Ruth with his signature white Spalding in 1934, his last year with the Yankees, and in the Braves' dugout in 1935. Always found it interesting that with all the design changes in gloves during that time, he stuck with the sewn web. One of them sold for over $1.5 million at auction in 2022. I'm guessing it was custom made for him. Spalding made a white Professional model for some years but it wasn't TOTL and didn't carry his signature. By 1927, when he started endorsing Spalding/Reach, they had already moved on to eyelets and laces for their TOTL gloves.

A circa 1940 baseball player with a distinctive Goldsmith base mitt. It could be the Gripper model TM or the Bud Hassett model HBM. Note the segmented face on the model TM. The welted seam along the back of the mitt was used as a "Hinged Back" to help close the mitt around a ball.

An 1890's photo. The glove the ball player is wearing is a tipped finger model. You can see it is of outseam construction with the leather tips sewn on afterwards.
