"Rev-O-Noc" was a trademark of the Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Harware Co. of Chicago. HSB was founded early in the 19th century and was a major supplier of tools, guns, knives and other hardware items. Charles Conover joined the firm at the turn of the century and the Rev-O-Noc brand was born ( Conover spelled backwards). Rev-O-Noc was a trademark on items from bicycles to kitchen stoves and also sporting goods. HSB continued on till 1962 when it was bought out and the name changed to "True Value" Hardware. Sound familiar? There is one in my town.
